Imagine a small area full of untouched nature spread over more than a thousand islands, inlets & Islets extends. These offer you numerous pebble bays, which are surrounded by beautiful green pine forests that are immersed in the crystal clear, greenish-blue Adriatic Sea. This wonderful natural environment will follow you no matter where you sail, be it the north or the south.
Heading north you’ll reach Kornati National Park, often referred to as Croatia’s “sea paradise” and boasting a magnificent constellation of 89 islands. Sail south and reach Mljet National Park, the oldest marine protected area in the Mediterranean.
Now paint this picture with two centuries of different history made up of prehistoric influences from the Illyrians, followed by Greeks, Romans, Venetians, Napoleons and Austro-Hungarian influences. Croatian cultural heritage is as diverse as its nature! Look forward to centuries-old stone houses, churches, palaces and fortresses.
Would you like to witness a residence of the Roman Emperor? Look no further than Diocletian’s Palace in the city of Split.
Want to be surrounded by the medieval walls of Game of Thrones’ Kings Landing? Sail south towards Dubrovnik! You can also visit the 24-century-old cultural landscape “Stari Grad” on the island of Hvar. It has remained virtually intact throughout this time.
Or maybe we should recommend Šibenik. A coastal town with the UNESCO World Heritage Cathedral of St. James, beautiful to see from the sea. The cathedral is also accompanied by a total of 3 fortresses (St. Nicholas, Barons & Michael’s Fortress) right there in the same city. All of these places can be reached by sailing.
There are so many places to explore that it’s just not possible to do everything at once. That’s why we say: “Come back again, there’s more to discover!”.
All these landscapes and culture are very seductive, but we are sure that you will still fall in love with something else – the Croatian people and our way of life.
Most of us speak English, but a large number of us also speak German. We are often happy and relaxed. “Take it easy” or as we say “Pomalo” lifestyle fits perfectly with your sailing vacation.
We spend a little more time in the morning drinking our coffee and reading the newspaper. We also like to share large (and we mean large) meals with a group of family and friends around a large table.
These gatherings are accompanied by excellent olive oil, local wine and, more and more often, a local craft beer.
In recent years, numerous new and modern twists on traditional Croatian cuisine have emerged. This movement brought many young people into private companies and numerous travelers influenced this mini-revolution of our catering offer. Rest assured that you will not go hungry in Croatia.
We invite you to sail throughout Croatia on our 100% privately owned fleet and have a fantastic sailing holiday experience.
